When I started managing the account, the campaigns had no clear structure or performance tracking. Targeting was broad, using generic keywords that attracted low-quality clicks. Tracking issues made it difficult to identify which ads or keywords were more conversions and which is not . The main challenge was to fix the tracking errors, identify high-intent search terms, and optimize campaigns for maximum lead generation while maintaining cost efficiency.
Our Solution
I start managing a complete campaign audit to identify tracking gaps and performance leaks. I implemented proper conversion tracking and Google Tag Manager integration to ensure accurate measurement. Then, I carried out extensive keyword research to target high-intent search terms such as “emergency plumber near me” and “pipe leak repair.” Custom audience segments were built around homeowners and in-market users, ensuring ads reached the right audience. The ads were scheduled to run only during business hours, and I rewrite all ad copies to include urgency-based messaging and service-specific CTAs. Landing pages were optimized for clarity, speed, and conversion. Finally, I switched the bidding strategy from Manual CPC to Maximize Conversions, allowing Google’s algorithm to automatically optimize for the best possible results.
