The Challenge
Freelance agencies and studios often struggle with a disconnected tool set. They typically use a public website for marketing, separate (and often costly) software for project management, and yet another tool for client communication. This creates inefficiency and a disjointed experience for both the team and its clients.
Our Solution
We architected and built this unified, full-stack platform from the ground up. It combines a dynamic public-facing portfolio (Next.js) with a secure, integrated backend (Django) for managing clients, projects, tasks, invoices, and team member profiles all in one place.
About the Project
This platform is a comprehensive, enterprise-level solution for managing a creative agency. Public-Facing Site: A blazing-fast, responsive frontend built with Next.js and styled with Tailwind CSS. It dynamically serves the portfolio, case studies, services, and team profiles from the backend API. Admin & Team Portal: A secure backend where team members can manage their individual profiles, update project statuses, track tasks, log meetings, and generate invoices. Client Portal: A private, secure portal for clients to log in, view the real-time progress of their specific projects, and communicate with the team. The entire system is powered by a robust RESTful API built with Django REST Framework, using JWT (Simple JWT) for secure authentication and Redux Toolkit for managing state on the frontend.

Our Process
Architecture & System Design
First, the complete system architecture was defined. This involved mapping out all user roles (Admin, Team Member, Client), designing the database models (Projects, Tasks, Invoices, etc.), and defining the RESTful API contract between the frontend and backend.
Backend API Development
Using Django REST Framework, the secure API was built. This included implementing a custom user model, setting up JWT authentication with Djoser, and creating all API endpoints for managing portfolios, projects, and the full project management suite.
Frontend & UI/UX Development
With the API in place, the Next.js frontend was developed. This involved building dozens of reusable React components, managing global state with Redux Toolkit (for auth and project data), and implementing the client/admin portals with secure, role-based access.
